You Better Not Get Old is an electrifying fusion of political intrigue, alien mystery, and breakneck action that delivers from the very first shot—literally. FBI Agent Berlin Yords, battle-tested and unrelenting, opens fire from an orchard in a quiet Israeli village, gunning for Goram Naphtali, a disgraced former Knesset member turned the world’s most elusive criminal. His crime? Ties to the global, unexplained disappearance of 70-year-olds.

As the world spirals, U.S. President Bender Castle scrambles to contain the chaos, pressuring Israel’s Prime Minister to dismantle THE ORDER—a radical Tel Aviv-based group at the heart of the conspiracy. Meanwhile, scientists race to decode the alien technology suspected of triggering the vanishings. Then, in a stunning twist, one of the missing seniors plummets from the sky onto a crowd of furious protesters outside the White House.

This novel is a masterclass in tension, imagination, and narrative control. With its razor-sharp pacing, unforgettable characters, and high-concept premise, You Better Not Get Old is a chillingly prophetic thrill ride that grips you to the final page.

You Better Not Get Old is a wild, high-concept thriller that blends political conspiracy, alien mystery, and non-stop action into one compelling page-turner. We follow protagonist FBI Agent Berlin Yords as she pursues a global conspiracy involving the mysterious disappearances of 70-year-olds worldwide. The imaginative premise is intriguing, and the author has a talent for crafting tension-filled scenes. The political elements are timely, and the pacing keeps you engaged to the end. The unexpected twists caught me off guard in the best way.

Despite these positives, I felt that there were some technical writing issues that distracted me from enjoying the story. The prose is unbalanced. Some sentences are too long for this genre (e.g. The opening sentence in Chapter 1 is an extremely long one: “Disillusioned, Goram Naphtali, a successful Dotcom Venture Capitalist and an Israeli Congressman in Knesset, quit Congress in protest due to the slow, lackluster approach of the Israeli government in handling the grave threat that Iran as a country posed to the safe existence of the state of Israel.”). The long sentences are contained in very short paragraphs meaning that on many occasions, we end up reading one-sentence paragraphs. The formatting also needs attention, as it pulls you out of the story. Overall, the book could benefit from tighter editing.
